If I were to have a girlfriend, I want her to be like Nigella Lawson.
Intelligence can be defined in many ways. It may be defined through our academic performance, the way we communicate with others or the way we deal with life. To limit ourselves to only one definition of intelligence is quite foolish, and it is quite impossible.
The same thing goes with the comparison between UPLB and UP Diliman. People who will say that UP Diliman has more brighter and better...

My current struggle: Finding new friends.
Well it’s not that people on my school are not friendly- in fact, most of them are humble people, not bragging the fact that they are studying in one of the premiere university in the Philippines. They, instead, live these expectations of our countrymen, not explicitly state what should be expected from them.
Despite their friendliness and...

To be honest, I’ve always wanted to belong in the great group of writers here on Tumblr. I’ve been dreaming of expressing myself in such clarity, and in the most creative and interesting way possible. I also wish people will look at me as a very classy, smart young guy, which is the way I see all my favorite writers here.
But apparently, I am not that kind of blogger. No one will ever...

Months of nothing but numerous exams, assignments, and graded exercises are inevitable in a university or college. Your grades lie on how you will perform in these activities given by your instructor or professor. Thus, if you want to pass the course and not repeat it again, you’ll delegate a bit of time to sleep, and to enjoy one’s self.
College is very different from high school....
There has to come a point in our lives when the people you value change, and will never come back to you. Apparently, change is a universal fact that is not acknowledged by many. So we, having emotional attachments to short lived things, prefer staying with things we are comfortable with, or in short, the good things in the past.
But we shall not be a prisoner of the past, for this will hinder us...
Good things happen to you when you least expect it. Someone may give you chocolates during a time of distress, heartbreaks or depression or somebody may give you discouragement in times of happiness. No one really knows what will happen to his or her mood sooner or later. Well in my case, something great happened yesterday.
We won third place in the FST 11 quiz contest. It was a quiz contest held...

No matter how conscious I become of my body, I still can’t motivate myself to exercise.

The long weekend is over, and I shall put myself back to reality. Getting a taste of what the sembreak feels like was really enticing, for I did nothing here but enjoy myself.
Good thing I’m almost done with everything I need to accomplish. Yay.

Reunion with my beloved high school friends later. I’m really looking forward to how they look these days.
Happy Birthday Tati!
Of all the names to call your father, we chose to call ours Tati. Well, there’s no meaning behind this name, but it was derived from the word Tatay.
So for his birthday, I have decided to bake Beatty’s Chocolate Cake and Meatballs. My relatives nodded in agreement that these two things I have cooked were good. At least my exhaustion went to a good cause.

Proudest moment of my life: When I controlled myself from eating too much of my favorite food.

Another tiring week has passed. Hand-written scientific papers, difficult exams, and unexpected events have happened, and shall pass like the first time I went to college- from a lazy, high school student to a hard working one.
This was all brought by my fear of failing a major exam, and fortunately, I have not failed any yet (good thing I passed the Math 11 exam! lol)
There has been many times...

The results of most of our exams were released, and I thank God I did not have a score of 75 below. Just so you know, all our exams here are over 100, and the passing rate is 60 or 65.
But unfortunately, I was not able to meet my goal to have a score of 80 above in most of my subjects. Well except for the Chemistry Laboratory. I got a score of 85 above there, but I was once again, frustrated for...

Ay kabayo!
Zamora,

This day, was once again, a blast!
Series of events suddenly happened, and I’m still in awe of the wonderful things God has given me.
First, my sister brought me new shoes and a nice pants. I least expected that to happen, for it’s not yet pay day. But at last! I got new pants and shoes to wear to school!
Second, my father treated us to Sbarro. It has been a while since we’ve...

When my parents asked me what I want for my birthday, I said:
Pizza
Cheesecake
Spaghetti with Meatballs
Well that’s only for the food, but I wish to have new pants and shirts to wear to school.
Good thing my father agreed to buy me all these in Divisoria. Omg, shopping!
God does not look on your problems. He instead looks on how much faith you have...

Few pieces of advice one can keep:
On Insecurity:
We are all fearfully, and wonderfully made by God. So if you still think you’re ugly, it’s really insulting to Him.
Never compare yourself to others. Whenever you do so, you unconsciously judge the person your comparing yourself to.
Focus on Jesus Christ. Never on how other people look, nor what people think about you. Just think of it as a gymnastics competition-...
Finally! This was the first time I went out of church happy, wearing a twinkle in my eyes, and a smile out of joy.
I did something I have never done before- I opened up to a friend. Unexpectedly, I told him about my insecurities- on why other younger church members seem to grow more than I am, who is about a year old, and still has nothing to be proud of.
After telling him about this...

I’ve been waiting for someone. Someone who would raise my self-esteem; someone who would appreciate me for who I am, and a someone who would tell me that I’m good enough.
Being a guy who has really low self-esteem since elementary has been hard. It made me shy towards people and made me feel pretty awkward- oftentimes, ashamed of myself.
Many times I have been appreciated, not for...
Sometimes, I find it weird when I choose to open myself up to thousands of strangers than to few people who really cares for me.

It’s actually insulting when somebody else reblogs a send me an anon message, then gets more messages than you, who first reblogged the post. Or worse, you don’t even get any messages! Lol!
My life on Tumblr, over and over again.
thediaryofayounglass-deactivate asked: Hello, sir. I must say that I'm very lucky to be followed by someone like you. Your posts are witty and, although they mostly inspire me, I shall also say that I enjoy reading them. You are, indeed, an interesting person.

Rizal’s life is quite interesting. He had done so much and proved so much to the friars, that to ignore his achievements was unreasonable. I thought I’m going to be bored as I flip through the pages of his biography, but apparently, I was wrong. To read his biography has proven itself to be gleeful, for Rizal was no ordinary man, appointed by the US as our national hero.
He was...
